  1. All of Us Here

From the recording Ghosts & Lovers

In cart Not available Out of stock

Since the industrial revolution, we've been killing the planet will all the junk in the air in the water and in landfills. We know this, but still do it. More and more people are crowding on this planet and we have to start cleaning it up. I think of our world as a lung, if you quit smoking you can clean up a dirty lung - unless it's too late. We shall see soon enough.

Lyrics

A fling we had for over three hundred years
We swallowed and gobbled up all that we found
When it’s gone and the fires and floods expose you
We’ll beat and batter your sensitive ground.

Divided we decided to push aside our fear
Even challenge the very soil beneath our feet
As far as narrow eyes can see people are just like me
With every breath a little piece we deplete.

With all of us, all of us here to feed
All of us, all of us here.
With all of us, all of us here to feed
Eaten up by all our greed.

The wheel that turns and brings it all back again
Something will give and we all will fall
As big as giants or small as grains of sand
I can’t believe we’re even here at all
It’s hard to believe we’ve come this far.

With all of us, all of us here to feed
All of us, all of us here.
With all of us, all of us here to feed
Eaten up by all our greed.

Reality brought to you by satellite
Parading and displayed amid the noise
For miles and generations we’re a lot alike
Like spoiled kids with all our broken toys.

We duplicate & replicate how we love to procreate
The more of us and more of us at last
The punishing the ravaging can’t you see it’s vanishing
How in the world are we all going to last?

With all of us, all of us here to feed
All of us, all of us here.
With all of us, all of us here to feed
Eaten up by all our greed.
